Guest Post with Mina Carter

Please welcome Mina Carter Author of  The reaper and The Cop.

When does a story start? When does it end? I write primarily romance, so for me, the story starts and ends with the romance. Mostly.

Reaper and the Cop is a little different. As it’s party of a series arc, I left a few questions unanswered in the book… about the world, about what happens next.

But for me, the story is about love at first sight. About meeting someone for the first time and falling hard and fast whether the main characters are human or something else.

Laney is definitely something else. She’s a Reaper. The ultimate predator, she always gets her prey. There’s no way to outrun death, and thus no way to outrun her. But that doesn’t mean that she’s immune to one of the greatest of human emotions; love.

Sure, it might be wrapped up in a healthy dose of lust but deep down, she knows what’s going on. But throw in a side order of female insecurities and she’s not quite ready to let her new squeeze in on what she does for a living. Not yet. Like a girl not letting a new boyfriend see her without any makeup on, she’s not going to lay it all out there. Just yet… I mean, it’s not like it’s a big secret. She’s not a mass murderer or anything. Not really…
