Dancing Nakied in Dixie review and give away

Dancing Naked in Dixie: By Lauren Clark
Travel writer Julia Sullivan lives life in fast-forward. She jet sets to Europe and the Caribbean with barely a moment to blink or sleep. But too many mishaps and missed deadlines have Julia on the verge of being fired.

With a stern warning, and unemployment looming, she's offered one last chance to rescue her career. Julia embarks on an unlikely journey to the ‘Heart of Dixie’—Eufaula, Alabama—home to magnificent mansions, sweet tea, and the annual Pilgrimage.

Julia arrives, soon charmed by the lovely city and her handsome host, but her stay is marred by a shocking discovery. Can Julia's story save her career, Eufaula, and the annual Pilgrimage?

My Thoughts:  This book was a fast paced book that kept you guessing. It was lighthearted and I couldn't put it down. I have to say Shug is one of my favorite male characters how charming and chivalrous he is. Poor Julia she had a tough go of it at first I laughed out loud when she choked on the sweet tea then the fire ants I thought to my self what else could go wrong. The Dynamic between Julia and her father David was a great twist and brought me a little teary when he told her the reason he really left.I have to say I really disliked Mary Kathrine she was a conniving  jealous gold digger. I adored Roger and his GQ flamboyant qualities hes the best male friend a girl can have. This book started off with a bang and ended in one literally and I loved it was  on the edge of my seat because this book had everything. Drama, laughter, family, a sense of home and southern hospitality  as well as a slight mystery and  explosions yes folks you heard it something does get blown up. I give this book the SiNners Stamp of approval its awesome.

  1. SiNn - Thank you so much for the wonderful review of Dixie. Eufaula is a place (a real location!) near and dear to my heart! There are so many other places in the city that I could explore for a second book ... they do graveyard tours and other more 'haunted' locations that might be fun to explore!

I am so glad that you liked this -- "The Dynamic between Julia and her father David was a great twist and brought me a little teary when he told her the reason he really left." I wanted to redeem David and bring Julia closer to him. Glad it worked for you!

Thank you so much for hosting Dixie! All the best, Lauren xx
